UPS Active Capacity
We calculate the exact DC power requirement in Watts based on the UPS kVA, load power factor (e.g. 0.8, 0.9, or 1.0), and inverter DC-to-AC conversion efficiency.
Target Backup Runtime
Battery Ah rating is selected according to the required runtime: 15 Mins, 30 Mins, 45 Mins, 60 Mins, 90 Mins, 2 Hours, or 4+ Hours deep autonomy.
DC Bus Voltage & String Length
The required number of 12V or 2V battery blocks in series is determined based on the inverter DC bus voltage (e.g. 36V, 72V, 96V, 192V, 240V, 384V, or 480V DC).
Battery Ah Rating & Discharge Curves
